We want to clarify that all Department 56 pieces we sell are brand new and unopened, which means the included white light bulb is exactly as packaged by the manufacturer. Because these are collector’s items, we don’t alter the original contents in any way.

Additionally, many of the Haunted Mansion accessories are not pre-lit, and we do include that information in the product descriptions to help set expectations before purchasing. We understand it can be disappointing if that detail was missed, especially when you're envisioning a fully illuminated scene.
